This class focuses on building the strength, alignment, and control required for safe and successful pointe work. Emphasis is placed on proper foot articulation, core stability, and individualized corrections to ensure technical growth and injury prevention.

All students must be evaluated through a Ballet Technique private lesson with Mrs. Amanda prior to beginning pointe instruction or bring a letter from their teacher stating that they have been approved to begin pointe.

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a specialized, science-based conditioning program designed by Marie Walton-Mahon to enhance ballet technique through muscle memory, core strength, and proper alignment. It uses tools like exercise balls and resistance bands to help dancers feel correct alignment and transfer it to the classroom. Teaching this course requires a certification, of which, Mrs. Amanda is certified to teach.

Whether preparing for performances, auditions, or building overall confidence, this private session ensures focused corrections and personalized drills tailored to each dancer’s level and goals.
